Would your children like to learn the basics of baseball from the West Michigan Whitecaps? The Whitecaps, led by manager Joe DePastino, will be hosting a youth baseball clinic for area children ages 8-15 during the 2008 season at Fifth Third Ballpark. Instruction areas include:

• Hitting
• Throwing
• Pitching
• Fielding
• Base running
• Mental toughness

Clinic dates are July 11 & 12. Times are from 8:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Lunch and a clinic t-shirt are provided.

Fee for the two-day clinic is $100.00. Clinics are limited to the first 80 applicants. Participants will receive a daily lunch and a complimentary clinic baseball t-shirt and should bring rubber-soled baseball/tennis shoes and a glove (bats and batting helmets are optional.)
