In 1950, Chester Mysliwiec and his family started a West Michigan racing tradition. Through the years, Berlin Raceway, as he named it, has seen the very best in local racing. In 2001, the West Michigan Whitecaps purchased the track, and, with partners such as NASCAR driver Johnny Benson, have been able to keep great local racing and enhance the fans’ experiences by bringing racing legends such as Tony Stewart, Rusty Wallace, Bobby Labonte, and Michael Waltrip to the track. Berlin Raceway is now considered one of the premier - and one of the most fan-friendly - short tracks in America.
